Every year, the Foundation supports around 50 children who face tough challenges at home, which are detrimental to the child’s normal educational and social development. All of our Foundationers have lost the support of one or both parents through death, divorce or separation.

Some are living in kinship care or in overcrowded conditions

Others are caring for an ill or disabled parent or sibling

Some are victims or witnesses of domestic violence

Others are living in chaotic circumstances with a grieving or mentally ill parent struggling with daily routines

LWC provides a vibrant, supportive boarding school environment in which they can thrive. It costs around £1.4 million a year to support our Foundationers.
