Register
Year 5 is the ideal time to register your child for a place to join us in 3rd Form. Ideally your child would be registered by the start of the Autumn Term in Year 6.
You will be invited to apply for a day, flexi ( 3 days) or weekly or full boarding place.
The registration window closes on 31st December prior to the year of entry.
If you miss this date, and we still have places available, we are happy to accept late applications. Please contact the admissions team to discuss this.
If you would like to apply for a Bursary, please contact feesupport@lordwandsworth.org.
Assessment
Our holistic assessments engage a wide range of learners, identifying where a child can excel through curiosity, and highlighting the ability to apply themselves to new ideas and problems. Our tests have been specifically designed to improve accessibility and level the playing field for children from all backgrounds.
All candidates who have registered are invited to sit the LWC Pre-Test, which can be taken either at their current school or at the College in the Autumn term of Year 6. For further information on the LWC Pre-Test, please click here.

We also request reports from current schools during the Autumn term of Year 6.
Offer of a Place
3rd Form offers are made at the end of January.
Your child’s current school Head will be informed directly and you will be informed directly.
There are 3 types of offer status: Unconditional Offer, Wait List Offer and Decline.
Unconditional offers are made prior to the February half term of Year 6; we do not require successful candidates to sit Common Entrance.
If your child has received a wait list offer, it means that there is currently no place available. However, please know that we believe your child would thrive with us — the only reason we cannot offer a place is due to high demand exceeding the number of available places. We do anticipate some movement on the waiting list and remain hopeful that we will be able to offer a place in due course. All places are specifically for day, flexi, weekly or full boarding.

Orientation Days
Once you have accepted a place for your child in 3rd Form, we will keep in touch with news and invitations to events so that by the time your child joins us you’ll all feel part of the LWC family.
Our orientation day in the summer term of Year 8 gives all our new pupils the chance to meet with their new classmates and have a great afternoon out and about on our beautiful campus. There will, of course, also be lots of information heading your way about uniform, Houses, co-curricular activities, sports camps, music lessons, and lots more.
All new pupils are allocated pupil buddies who will welcome them and help them settle in quickly. Our environment of kindness, the +1 of our 5 pillars, makes kindness part of our daily lives.
