Joining our
3rd Form (Yr 9)

LWC 3 _SJP9178

Pupils joining us in 3rd Form are all members of one of our seven senior houses, becoming part of a supportive and dynamic community which encourages curiosity, adventure and fun.

Around 65 children join us at Third Form and become part of a vibrant and exciting community that celebrates the qualities of each of its pupils. Whether boarding or day pupils, they enjoy the support of their Houseparent, their Resident Tutors, and of course their Matrons!

The ideal time to register for a place is when your child is in Year 5.

All candidates who have registered are invited to sit the LWC Pre-Test which can be taken either at their current school or at the College in the Autumn term of Year 6. For further information on the LWC Pre-Test, please click here.

In addition, all candidates are invited to our innovative assessment morning, which allows us to evaluate their full potential in creative thinking, problem solving, analysis and teamwork. For further information on our assessment morning, please click here. We also request reports from current schools during the Autumn term of Year 6.

Unconditional offers are made prior to the February half term of Year 6; we do not require successful candidates to sit Common Entrance.

Our holistic assessments engage a wide range of learners, identifying where a child can excel through curiosity, and highlighting the ability to apply themselves to new ideas and problems. Our tests have been specifically designed to improve accessibility and level the playing field for children from all backgrounds.

The deadline for registration is 1st December when your child is in Year 6. If you miss the registration window and we still have places available, we are happy to accept late applications. Please contact the admissions team to discuss this.
