Our approach

LWC 1

We are at a time, now more than ever, for the need to re-imagine education, for realising the potential of our young people as active agents of change. It is about creating the spaces and structures for our young people to act with influence, to have a voice, and to meaningfully participate in school and in their communities.

A2RH

At Lord Wandsworth College this change starts with a radically innovative shift in our curriculum, underpinned by four significant principles which we call A2RH – Attitudes, Approaches, Routines and Habits. This initiative enables our pupils to find and develop a passion for learning and a desire to be curious, moulding passionate individuals who are ambitious to go and make a positive difference in the world.

’A philosophy of investing in dynamic teachers who are utterly, ridiculously passionate about their subjects.’ — Good Schools Guide

Our pupils enjoy a broad and engaging curriculum which allows them to explore and develop their talents. With average class sizes of 18 pupils and as low as 5 or 6 for some GCSE and A Level classes, our teachers can give pupils highly personal attention and encouragement to become independent thinkers and learners.
