The LWC Equestrian team have firmly taken up their reins this term with a cracking start to their competitions.
We had several riders competing in an arena eventing competition at Parwood equestrian centre near Farnham. Kitty D and her pony Bright Silver and Molly H on Halston Christy – both rode in the 80-85cm Cranleigh School arena eventing. Our team of 4 comprising Lucie C, Alice R, Alexander S and Joseph S did fantastically well and managed to win the 70-75cm course. This was a tough challenge and LWC was the only school to have three riders complete the course. The team qualify for the National School Championships at Keysoe International EC on 23rd October.
Isabelle Cook also did really well in her NSEA grass roots qualifier show jumping competition at Sands Farm. She came 2nd in the 60cm and won the 70cm!
Other riders who competed in other difficult arena eventing over the weekend were: Kitty D, Amelia S, Immy S and Molly H.
