Our Taster Sessions are a wonderful opportunity for pupils to explore a particular passion and to spend time on the 1200.
Families are encouraged to select the events that most excite their child.

Launch into Art: Matisse Natural Forms | Monday 27 April, 2.45 to 4pm
Get inspired by the vibrant, flowing shapes of Matisse! Join us at LWC to explore natural forms and create your own bold, organic designs. This hands-on session is part of our Launch into programme, perfect for sparking your creativity and experimenting with colour, shape, and movement. Let your imagination run wild and see nature through Matisse’s eyes! Reserve your spot hereLaunch into Adventure: Outdoor Team Challenge| Monday 27 April, 2.45 to 4pm
Step outside and take on an exciting outdoor challenge led by our expert outdoor team across our incredible 1200-acre campus. Students will work together through a series of activities designed to build teamwork, leadership, and communication while tackling problem-solving tasks in the great outdoors. It’s an energising way to develop confidence, command skills, and collaboration.
Launch into Biology: Dissection Event | Monday 18 May, 2.45 to 4pm
Get hands-on with real science as students explore the fascinating anatomy of a squid. During this exciting dissection activity, they’ll carefully examine the different body parts and even locate and remove the squid’s ink sac. Mix, measure, and experiment as students create their own colourful “potions”! Explore reactions, discover how ingredients interact, and watch science come to life in a hands-on, exciting way. Students will bring classic tales to life through acting, learning new words and phrases as they perform. These events are perfect for families applying for Year 7 entry in 2027 or Year 9 entry in 2029, offering pupils in Year 5 the chance to explore, experiment and enjoy our inspiring campus.
