Boarding Houses

Discover our Boarding Houses

All pupils belong to a House community where they are known, valued and supported by their Houseparent, their tutor and, of course, their Matrons. Within this nurturing environment, pupils develop confidence, independence and a strong sense of belonging.

Our eight Houses are led by experienced and dedicated staff who, together with their teams of Assistant Houseparents and Tutors, provide exceptional pastoral care and guidance to every pupil in their care, ensuring that each individual is supported both personally and academically.

Bramley House is home to our 1st and 2nd Form pupils, both boys and girls, offering a welcoming introduction to House life. Our senior Houses accommodate pupils from 3rd Form through to Upper Sixth, creating vibrant communities where friendships flourish and independence grows. All Houses offer day, flexi, weekly and full boarding, allowing families to choose the arrangement that best suits their needs.

I am proud to lead a vibrant, supportive and aspirational boarding community that feels like a true ‘home away from home’, while also preparing pupils for the opportunities beyond school. Boarding should be a transformative experience, one that nurtures character, independence and curiosity, and we ensure that every boarder feels known, valued and inspired.

Community lies at the heart of our boarding life. Our Houses are places where friendships develop naturally, routines feel reassuring and every pupil contributes to a positive and inclusive atmosphere. From shared mealtimes to evening activities, these everyday moments help to foster a strong and lasting sense of belonging.

We provide a rich and varied programme of evening and weekend activities, including creative, sporting and cultural opportunities, designed to build confidence, encourage independence and widen worlds. Our aim is that every boarder leaves with happy memories, strong friendships and the resilience and ambition to thrive in the future.
