SEMINAR: Alicia Drummond – Parenting Teenagers: Self-esteem Saturday 21 January – 9:00-10:30am in The Gavin Hall
Central to success in all areas of life are self-esteem and resilience. In this talk we consider what self-esteem is, how we can help our children develop it, and what the pitfalls of not having it might be. We will look at the qualities which develop resilience and how we can motivate teenagers to take action to build those qualities.

WEBINAR: Alicia Drummond – Parenting Teenagers: Eating Disorders Thursday 30 March – 7:00-8:00pm via Zoom
There has been a rise in the number of teenagers experiencing body image dissatisfaction and eating disorders (males and females). In this talk we will explore what we can do as parents to help our children see themselves in a positive light; we will consider the different types of eating disorder, why they occur, how to spot the signs, what we can do to prevent one becoming established and how to help a child who is struggling with body image and disordered eating.
