Dance

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”

—Martha Graham

The dance program at LWC provides dancers of any age and ability with an engaging and inclusive environment in which to explore movement, creativity, and expression. Dance is not only a powerful art form but also a fantastic way to support both physical and mental wellbeing. It encourages confidence, discipline, and resilience, while providing a joyful outlet for individuality and collaboration.

Dance is taught from 1st form all the way through to Sixth Form, allowing students the opportunities to develop their technique, fitness, and creativity. Lessons and co-curricular opportunities make use of our specialist facilities, including the sprung studio floor and the Barn, our newly establish gym facility, where students can explore both the artistic and sporting benefits of dance.

Whether students are looking to pursue Dance as a serious performance pathway or simply to be involved in all that the lively and encouraging department has to offer, we provide the opportunities and support for them to thrive. Dance at LWC is a truly dynamic and rewarding experience.
