International
students

LWC 1 LWC-Craig-Williams-293

We welcome pupils from all over the world and have a thriving international community with students from America, Africa, China, Russia and many European countries.

The College really values the contribution international students make to the life our community.

To ensure pupils can thrive at the College, they will need a good level of written and spoken English. Pupils applying whose first language is not English may be asked to undertake an English assessment.

All candidates who have registered are invited to sit the LWC Pre-Test which can be taken online either at their current school or at the College.

Candidates will also have an interview with the Headmaster as well as a senior member of staff, such as a Houseparent or Head of Department. Whilst we would prefer to meet applicants in person, we are happy to arrange for these interviews to be held online.

Candidates entering at Sixth Form may be asked to sit tests in subjects they are proposing to study at A Level, and whilst they do not need to have taken an IELTS assessment prior to entry, the expected level of English for Sixth Form is IELTS 5.5+.

All students whose parents do not live in the UK are required to have a UK based guardian. This can be a family member or friend; they must, however, be contactable and able to accommodate the pupil in the case of an emergency and when school is closed, for example at half terms and exeat weekends.
