English A Level Class Visit Stratford

The U6th English classes enjoyed a gloriously sunny trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. They were treated to a Shakespeare Birthplace Trust lecture on their set text, Othello, followed by an evening performance of a riotously funny A Midsummer Night's Dream in the new RSC main theatre. Overnight, they stayed in the Cotswold village of Stow-on-the-Wold before returning early the following morning to a backstage, Royal Shakespeare Company theatre tour and then on to an open-top bus tour of Stratford-upon-Avon and its historic surrounds. The group arrived back glowing with Shakespeare esoterica and Sun Factor 50, just in time for the exeat weekend.
