How to help
Why does LWC boarding school need support?
Lord Wandsworth College has an extraordinary history that began with the bequest of one generous and visionary man, Lord Wandsworth. To continue his legacy and to extend his vision into the future, we must continue to develop our College and this is why we need your support.
Independent schools in England have suffered from various financial difficulties in the last decade, predominantly due to the recession.
There are two specific areas that need your support:
The Lord Wandsworth Foundation
Working at the heart of the College, the Lord Wandsworth Foundation helps to fund day and boarding places at the College for children who have lost the support of one or both parents through death, divorce or separation.
The College is constantly updating its facilities and surroundings to ensure that it continues to offer a broad and fulfilling education to all of its pupils.
How to Help the Lord Wandsworth Foundation
The Trustees of the Lord Wandsworth Foundation are very grateful to everybody who makes a donation of any size to the Foundation. Your support really does make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children. Our foundation is unlike any other UK boarding school foundation.

Members of the Society enjoy an annual luncheon and exclusive events. For more information, please contact the Development Office.
Your may be able to reduce significantly the amount of income tax and capital gains tax you pay if you choose to donate shares or securities to the Foundation. Currently, this means that shares donated to the Foundation attract income tax relief of 100% of their present market value. Donors will be able to claim tax relief at their highest rate of tax, via their Self-Assessment form or Corporation Tax return. In addition, the donated shares will not incur any capital gains liability. We suggest you speak to your financial advisor for specific advice, or contact the Development Office for more information.
If you are unable to make a donation, but would like to support the Foundation by offering a gift in kind, an auction prize or help with publicity, please contact the Development Office.
