Gosden, the oldest established of the girls’ houses, is home from home for 50 girls, many of whom are full or weekly boarders. There is a warm, friendly and relaxed family atmosphere in the House, with all year groups regularly socialising together in the common room.
Although hard-working, the girls also throw themselves into all other areas of school life, competing in sports teams, playing musical instruments and performing in concerts, acting in school plays and taking advantage of the many other activities available, including dance and fitness classes, D of E and CCF. The girls are very supportive of each other, with fun, laughter and girly chats being the norm during free time.
Dr Eldridge is ably assisted by a team of five tutors and two much-loved matrons.
