Welcome to the LWC website

The educational philosophy of LWC is a simple one. We teach the children that full involvement in a wide range of intellectual, creative, sporting and cultural activity sharpens the mind and deepens one’s sense of identity and purpose. Our pupils take this attitude with them to university and into their working and family lives after they leave school, as the varied and highly successful careers of so many testify.

But we also place emphasis on valuing the needs and aspirations of others. Despite having developed into a high powered and fully resourced school, the charitable spirit with which Lord Wandsworth founded the College lives on in our support for young people and their families. All our pupils are conscious of this, and a sense of belonging and collective responsibility for the happiness of others is strong here. In fact, it is paramount.

The website will give you some idea of what LWC has to offer, but please accept my warm invitation to visit. It is only through coming to see us, meeting staff and pupils that you will gain any real sense of what we routinely achieve and what we might have to offer you and your children.
